Women's Ministry

With all humility and gentleness
Eph 4:1 I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called.

Our Women’s Ministry is led by Pat Purmort. She also serves as a Ladies Sunday School teacher.  We have combined our Women on Mission with our Women’s Ministry to create “Women Ministering United”  These ladies host our annual “Latte Moon Coffee House”, they keep us involved in local community mission projects and world mission projects.

The March 1st quarterly fellowship focused on the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and missionaries serving in North America.  Please enjoy the pictures from this time of fellowship!  The ladies had a wonderful time enjoying a meal together, playing games, and winning prizes.

The next Ladies Quarterly Luncheon will be in June.  Please stay tuned for details and we hope to see all of our ladies there!

April 8th @ 10 AM is the next ministry meeting.  All ladies are welcome to attend.  Please speak to Pay Purmort.

Mission Project for March: We are collecting hygiene and snack items for Rushton’s Hope to make day bags for the homeless in our community.

May 13th @ 10 AM will be a Packing Party for the bags.

Thank you to all who donated in February!  Please enjoy the pictures of some of the WMU ladies loading up and delivering the hygiene and household items that our church collected in February and delivered to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home workers.

A word from Pat and our WMU:  Bibles, Sunday School Literature, and Hymnals were delivered to First Baptist Church Manchester on January 31st 2025. Literature will be shipped all over the world to English speaking countries to missionaries who are in great need of such materials to teach the Gospel and train others to spread the Good News.  The ministry is called “Love Packages” and we will continue to collect teaching materials for this mission need.  Thank you, Mt. Gilead Church!

To connect with this ministry, speak to Pat Purmort.
