What to expect

We like to say that Mt. Gilead is “A Place for Everyone” and we want you to be able to find your place here with us.

It is our hope that as you pull in to the parking lot that you will be met by someone from our First Impressions Team.  They will greet you with a smile, answer any questions that you may have, and help you find out where to go.  It’s a big building so don’t be overwhelmed.  We will point you in the right direction!

Dress: Our church family is a mix of all ages and so you may see some members dressed more casually while you will see some who are dressed more formally.  We invite you to dress in whatever way you are most comfortable.

Music: The music portion of our service will be a mix of modern and traditional.  We have a Praise Team that will blend contemporary songs with praise choruses and classic hymns.  It is our goal to create an atmosphere of Praise, Worship and Adoration in a way that whether you are 5 or 95, you will be able to worship through song with us. We love to see babies alongside great grandparents worshiping together.

Sermons: The sermons will be a mixture of word-by-word studies or topical studies. Our goal is to make the Bible a relevant book for living in today’s world. That means we stay true to the text but try to make it simple enough to understand it and to find modern applications for our lives.

Childcare: Childcare is available for newborns-2 years old during all regularly scheduled worship times.  Sunday School classes, as well as Children’s Church and special activities are offered.  Please see the Children’s Ministry page for ages and details.

We hope that you will join us Sunday or Wednesday!  We do our best to follow up with all of our guests to help or assist in any way that we can but please look for someone from our First Impressions Team for anything that you need!
